COURSE SCHEDULE
The Actor's Director Three-Day Workshop is designed to experience and explore the embodiment of character with the intention of understanding how best to give tangible and inspired notes to actors. Participants will move their bodies, share their voices and unpack what makes them tick.
THE ACTOR'S DIRECTOR LIVE
(ONLINE WORKSHOP)
A live 90-minute online workshop designed to introduce the core principles of working with actors. Through practical examples, demonstrations, and discussion, participants will learn how to communicate more effectively with actors, give playable direction, and build trust in the rehearsal room and on set.

THE ACTOR'S DIRECTOR WORKSHOP
(THREE-DAY INTENSIVE)
A transformational, in-person workshop designed for directors, filmmakers, and storytellers who want to develop a deeper understanding of the actor's process. Over three days, participants will explore character development, vocal and physical communication, and practical directing techniques that foster trust, collaboration, and truthful performances.
WHO IT'S FOR: Directors preparing for production, writer-directors developing their craft, experienced filmmakers looking to deepen their work with actors, acting teachers, educators, and creative professionals who want an immersive, hands-on experience exploring the actor-director relationship.
GRAHAM SIBLEY | INSTRUCTOR
DAY ONE: PRESENT MOMENT & BUILDING CHARACTER
Participants will be guided through exercises which focus on how the present moment informs character development and crafting an effective character arc.
DAY TWO: FREEING YOUR NATURAL VOICE & GIVING EFFECTIVE VOCAL NOTES
Participants will be guided through exercises which focus on understanding their own habitual vocal patterns and how that informs giving effective vocal notes to an actor.
DAY THREE: EXPLORING PHYSICALITY & GIVING EFFECTIVE PHYSICAL NOTES
Participants will be guided through exercises which focus on the primary ways to create physical life — destination, business and gesture.
Emmy®-nominated actor and educator Graham Sibley brings over two decades of experience in film, television, and theater to his teaching. He has collaborated with acclaimed filmmakers including Clint Eastwood (Sully) and Woody Harrelson (Nanking), headlined indie standouts such as Blush and You, Me & Her, and portrayed Abraham Lincoln in A&E’s award-winning miniseries currently streaming on Netflix. Known for his insightful, actor-centered approach and dedication to creative collaboration, Sibley continues to be a presence on both stage and screen.
